Online text at http://www.onlineastronomy.com (click 2-semester course). Students are expected to study and understand text, figures, and interactive animation in assigned chapters.
Online quizzes must be taken in proctored computer labs during the week assigned. Computer lab schedules will be posted. Student ID required to take tests.
Real labs meet in Nielsen Physics 507 (time and day of week depend on your section #). Each real lab except 1st begins with quiz over virtual lab from previous week.
Numbers in parentheses refer to laboratory exercises in A Laboratory Textbook for Introductory Astronomy (Duckett).
Virtual labs may be done in an unproctored computer environment any time during the assigned week. Worksheets must be turned in at the next real lab, and a quiz will be given then on the previous virtual lab.
