Elements
Around seventy of the ninety-two naturally occurring elements has been inferred in the Sun
from the solar spectrum. Probably there are others, but their intensity is too low to be seen.
Although there are thousands of lines in the solar absorption spectrum, most of the absorbing power is
concentrated in the strong lines of only a few elements.
