The Expansion of a Main Sequence Star into the Red Giant Region

This animation illustrates schematically the predicted evolution of a star after it leaves the main sequence and evolves to the red giant stage. Usage: Click "Play" to begin. The animation ends when the star stops expanding. "Home" returns to the beginning from any point.
