Post-AGB Stellar Evolution
This animation describes the evolution of red giant stars after the asymptotic giant branch
(AGB) phase. This typically involves the ejection of the envelope to form a planetary nebula
heated by the hot central star. The core of the star becomes a white dwarf when its nuclear
fuel is exhausted.
