We're not in Kansas Anymore . . .

These ideas are bizarre, and yet there is rather strong evidence that black holes exist, as predicted by the theory. If that is true, then singularities and event horizons probably exist too. It is less likely that naked singularities exist, and we have no experimental evidence for them, but they can't be ruled out based on our present understanding. As Dorothy said to her dog Toto in the Wizard of Oz, "I think we're not in Kansas anymore!"
