This animation illustrates the motion of the Earth's crustal plates for the last 350 million years. Usage: You may play the sequence continuously through as a movie by clicking "Play". You may move forward a frame at a time then by clicking "Step" and backward a frame at a time by clicking "Back". You may go directly to a particular period in the last 350 million years by clicking on the timeline on the right. "Home" returns to the beginning from any point.
