Inflation and Dark Matter
Later we shall address the horizon problem and how
nonuniformity arose from uniformity. We shall see that these issues
may require going beyond the simple big bang by introducing the
theory of cosmic inflation, which modifies the first instants of
the big bang, and by considering the role of dark matter in structure formation.
