Simulation of an Accretion Disk
This animation by Professor John Blondin of North Carolina State University
illustrates supercomputer simulations of instabilities that develop in binary star accretion disks.
Usage:
Click the "Animate" button to begin the movie.
Click the "Reset" button to restart the animation.
You can also vary the speed,
choose to loop the movie or not,
step through it in either direction,
and play it forward or in reverse
by using the obviously named controls.
