Beware the Giant Elliptical Cannibals

Let's cite one example of how galaxies may evolve because of interactions. It is now believed that the reason many giant elliptical galaxies are so large is that they have feasted on smaller neighbor galaxies in a gigantic form of galactic cannibalism. We shall show evidence for this later.
