Primal Strings
Ordinary strings are made out of atoms and smaller things.
Superstrings
are not made out of smaller things. They are conjectured to be the
most fundamental unit of matter. Thus, if the theory is correct,
superstrings are the primal material
from which which all other things (including ordinary strings!) are made.
