Versions of Inflation
It is important to point out that inflation is a general idea that has been implemented in many different
ways. The general idea is the exponential expansion of the Universe for a short period at its
inception before settling into the normal big bang evolution. Many specific versions have been proposed. The
one that we have described here is just one of the simplest.
